The idea of ARTA magazine was initially conceived in mid-2003 among a group of professionals related to visual arts. Parting from the wordplay “harta del arte” (fed up with art), proclaimed/ enunciated by Marta Minujín, they developed Arta Magazine. Arta is a monographic magazine created by contemporary artists. It consists of a previously unpublished visual essay proposed by one or more featured artists plus a dossier of non-deictic texts.
In 2011, the team decided to begin publishing contemporary art books, giving way to ARTA ediciones, an independent publishing house.
