The first issue consisted of a photo essay of the artist Geraldine Lanteri, who worked with the concept of intimate diary.
In her story, called Claude, Lanteri dealt with topics relating to the everyday life of the couple and the private life. All the scenes were located in Miramar, with a very special treatment of time, imposing a certain timelessness.
Arta 1 put special emphasis on formal issues such as the warmth of the light, farmed grain and the encuandres. The emphasis on these issues reinforced own aesthetic amateur visual aspects.
The works of the artist was accompanied by a dossier consisting of fragments of private diaries of young writers, plus an interview with Lynne Sachs made exclusively for Arta.
