Arta/05 revolves around the habitat-home binomial. Beneath the axis of these conceptual coordinates, Luis Terán, winner of the 2011 Kuitca Scholarship, produces a series of works located within these territories. Luis makes use of the scientific & exploratory perspective of the photographic camera, a device that crops everything, turning the domestic gesture into an elaborate artistic construction and at the same time, turns a scientific text into a surrealistic parable.
Luis’ works are accompanied by dossier of writing by Pablo Lapadula, artist & scientist (Conicet investigator) with his text “Luterina”. “Modulations of the molecular mechanisms of the spider’s silk by omission”, Inés Acevedo contemporary writer, “The wild yeast”, a poem by Mariano Blatt, “Be calm, you will not be able to describe this moment within this moment” & Luis Terán himself, with “Patio garden and potted plant symbiosis”.
